- For a basic cleaning, wipe down the surface with a damp cloth

- Vacuum to remove dust on a regular basis
- If needed, use a soft, clean bristle brush in the direction of the hair to remove any remaining debris
- For stain removal, immediately remove any excess liquids or solids with a paper towel, soft cloth or sponge. Dab and wipe in direction of the hair. Soak up as much liquid as possible to prevent any liquids from soaking into the hide
- For harder spill, use a damp cloth with mild detergent (baby shampoo is the mildest and best)
- With urine or vomit spills in particular, wipe with a damp cloth dipped into a dilute solution of 300ml water and 20ml white vinegar, which will help with pH balance and odor removal
- To prolong the life of your rug, place in a low-traffic area out of direct sunlight. This will help preserve the color and prevent excess wear and tear
